A small to medium-sized hornet. The only worker specimen I have measures 22mm. Mainly black. Some yellow-orange markings at the rear part of the thorax, and a thin yellow line at the base of the first abdominal segment.
This species has an extremely limited distribution, being known only from the Celebes and Sulawesi in Indonesia.
I have only one specimen of this which I obtained in a trade. Therefore, I would be appreciative of any information on this species.
